Joseph Campbell | Director & Principal Exercise Physiologist

Founder and Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Joe founded Road to Recovery in 2018 when he wanted to create a bigger impact on the health of his local community. With background in multiple private practices and clinical settings including aged/disability care, corporate health and athletic development, Joe’s goal is to help people take control of their health and live a life with less limitations.

Outside of work, Joe enjoys being outdoors and spending time with his wife Patrice and three dogs and loves exercising and competes in triathlons and is working towards a full ironman.

Holly Huxley | Exercise Physiologist

Holly graduated from Sydney University with a Master’s in Exercise Physiology and is one of our senior Exercise Physiologists. She has further training and strong interest in Women’s Health and leads our Ante & Post-Natal Exercise Classes in Springwood. Holly is passionate about helping women stay active throughout life, with expertise in menopause and maintaining strength in later years.

With a warm, caring personality, Holly has a knack for brightening anyone’s day and when she’s not working, Holly loves spending time with her husband and beautiful son.

Joel Moncrieff | Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Joel is enthusiastic about exercise prescription for everyone regardless of age, gender or experience. Joel grew up playing rugby and basketball in his youth and is now an avid surfer and enjoys spear-fishing. Joel enjoys helping people rediscover good health and take control of their lives. He has a passion for helping those who are new to exercise as well as regular gym enthusiasts, to continue training when injured or make lifestyle changes for better health.

Lachlan Morris | Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Lach enjoys working with people to improve health and fitness outcomes and showcase the power of exercise and activity. Lachlan runs our Diabetes ‘Beat it’ Program and Active Ageing Classes and works with a lot of younger athletes and kids to help either overcome injuries or just make exercise and time in the gym enjoyable.

Brittany Trueman | Exercise Physiologist

Brittany is a dedicated Exercise Physiologist with a Master’s degree and a passion for helping people improve their health through movement. She delivers personalised, evidence-based programs to support clients in managing chronic conditions, recovering from injury, and achieving their physical goals. Known for her compassionate and practical approach, Brittany works with clients of all ages to build strength, confidence, and lasting health outcomes.

She’s an avid coffee drinker and if you spot fur on her clothes, you can thank her three beloved fur children.

Matthew Hogan | Exercise Physiologist

Matt has been an Exercise Physiologist since 2017, working across Australia and overseas with clients ranging from everyday movers to elite athletes. He believes everyone deserves the same high level of care and brings that focus to every session.Matt is especially passionate about musculoskeletal (especially ACL), spinal cord, and neurological rehab. He also has a strong interest in strength and conditioning to help clients move well, get strong, and stay injury-free.
Outside of work, you’ll find him with his four-legged mate Baloo or performing in professional wrestling.

Chris Rowe | Exercise Physiologist

Chris is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Master of Exercise Physiology from Deakin University. He’s passionate about making exercise safe, practical, and accessible for everyone. Chris works with people of all ages and abilities to help them stay active, build strength, and move with confidence. His clinical interests include cancer care, active ageing, resistance training, and injury rehab and prevention.
Outside the clinic, you’ll find him strength training, travelling, taking photos, or enjoying time in the garden.

Yasaswini Dannala | Exercise Physiologist

Yasaswini is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist who graduated from the University of Sydney in 2024. With a passion for working across diverse clinical backgrounds, Yasaswini has keen interests in supporting differently-abled individuals, the elderly, and women navigating unique health journeys. Her approach combines empathy, evidence-based practice, and a commitment to empowering clients to achieve their personal best. She loves a good challenge and truly believes the smallest step in the right direction can often be the most meaningful one.

When not in the clinic, Yasaswini enjoys taking part in community events whilst also experimenting with singing and music.

Patrice Campbell | Chief Operating Officer & Marketing

Patrice is our social media and media guru. Patrice is often around our studio and loves chatting with members and our team about how they are going. She has a passion for photography and uses this to capture people’s health journey for storytelling. Outside of the studio, Patrice is working equally hard on her dream of convincing her husband four dogs is no harder than three dogs and enjoys running and spending time with friends which is easy when you work with so many great people!

Melinda Paynter | Operations & Pilates

Melinda is our young gun Operations Manager at Road to Recovery and a certified Pilates Instructor, having completed her training through APPI. With nearly two years of experience, she’s already making a big impact—especially when it comes to working with injuries and adapting Pilates for all abilities. She’s all about creating a welcoming, supportive space in every class. When she’s not running Pilates sessions, you’ll see her friendly face behind the front desk.

Oh, and she’s a big fan of skim vanilla lattes—so don’t be shy about encouraging Joe to shout her one.

Julian ‘Jules’ Bray | Exercise & Sport Scientist

Jules is the friendly face you’ll see when you walk in—our go-to admin whiz who’s always happy to help with any questions. With a background in Exercise Sports Science, he’s helped out in the gym space and is currently working towards a career in allied health driven by his love of helping people. Jules is who you’ll speak with over the phone and can help out with enquiries. Outside of work, Jules is currently training for his first half marathon and will probably be pushed by the team to commit to a full distance soon.

JJ | Trouble Maker & Resident Cuddle Expert

JJ or Jessie Junior is our fluffy therapy dog. She loves visiting the clinic to see everyone (mainly for cuddles and tummy rubs). If you need someone to cuddle, pat or have invade your personal space, JJ is your best mate.

She knows not all humans are fond of dogs so please let our receptionist know if this is the case and we can accommodate your needs by accommodating JJ for a walk.

When JJ isn’t in the studio, she’s busy guarding her backyard, keeping her two husky siblings in their place and protecting her food bin from threats.
