We’re a team of human performance and rehab professionals with backgrounds Exercise Physiology & Exercise Science here to support you achieve your goals in life. Whether it’s completing a 14 day overland trail, sports competition or just wanting to keep active despite injuries and age, we’ve got your back.

Road to Recovery was established to empower and educate individuals to take charge of their health and make movement and exercise an enjoyable part of life.

We have two locations in Springwood and Penrith with state of the art facilities and equipment to ensure that our clients and members have access to premium healthcare wherever you are.

We don’t provide one size fits all or cookie cutter programs. We understand everyone is different and ensure that each person we work with receives an individually tailored treatment plan and clear timeline for your health and wellbeing goals.

Our Team

Joseph Campbell | Director & Principal Exercise Physiologist

Founder and Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Joe founded Road to Recovery in 2018 when he wanted to create a bigger impact on the health of his local community. With background in multiple private practices and clinical settings including aged/disability care, corporate health and athletic development, Joe’s goal is to help people take control of their health and live a life with less limitations.

Joe has a particular interests in sport development with a background in strength and conditioning and enjoys spending time with his family (made up of three dogs) and currently training for a triathlon.

Holly Huxley | Exercise Physiologist

Holly Goldingay graduated from Sydney University with a Masters in Exercise Physiology. As one of our senior Exercise Physiologists, Holly has a background in Women’s Health and runs our Ante & Post-Natal Exercise Classes in both Springwood & Penrith. Holly enjoys helping women keep active across the lifespan and does have training in navigating menopause and keeping strong into later years.

Joel Moncrieff | Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Joel is enthusiastic about exercise prescription for everyone regardless of age, gender or experience. Joel, grew up playing rugby and basketball in his youth and is now an avid surfer and enjoys spear-fishing. Joel enjoys helping people rediscover good health and take control of their lives. He has a passion for helping those who are new to exercise as well as regular gym enthusiasts, to continue training when injured or make lifestyle changes for better health.

Kristy Mills| Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Kristy is enthusiastic about movement and exercise for everyone regardless of age, gender and experience. Kristy’s work with her clients draws on her extensive experience with the NRL designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs to reduce injuries amongst NRL referees. Outside of elite performance, Kristy also has a background in mental health having worked at St John of God North Richmond previously. Kristy is a big proponent to resistance training and enjoys spending time in the weights room herself as well as teaching other women the importance and benefits of weight training.

Amar Mousa | Exercise Physiologist

Amar is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Sydney University Graduate. Amar enjoys working in the disability sector and understands the benefits and importance of exercise in people with disabilities. She understands that everyone has their own heath journey and what works for one person may not for another. Amar’s particular interests include strength training for seniors as well as working in the mental health space and healthy ageing. On her weekends, Amar loves adventuring with friends and spending time with her family.

Micah Pace | Exercise Physiologist

As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Micah is passionate about exercise and healthy living for people of all ages. Micah aims to enable people of all abilities to participate in safe exercise and make physical activity comfortable and fun to help people work towards their health goals in life.

Micah’s particular interests include promoting active living for older adults, injury rehabilitation and chronic health management as well as strength training in adolescents.

Jack Baldwin | Exercise Physiologist

Jack Baldwin graduated from University of Sydney with a Masters in Exercise Physiology having completed Exercise Sport Science at Western Sydney University. Jack is enthusiastic about exercise prescription for everyone regardless of age, gender or experience. Jack, grew up playing elite level AFL and Basketball in his youth and still continues to play both sports as well as competing in CrossFit. Jack enjoys neurological rehabilitation, strength and conditioning programming for youths as well as helping people discover/rediscover good health and change their life for the better.

Lachlan Morris | Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Lach is an awesome young gun. We were lucky to have Lach join us during his student placement and couldn’t wait to have him jump onboard now that he’s graduated. Lachlan runs our Diabetes ‘Beat it’ Program and Active Ageing Classes and he may not look it, but he loves spending time in the gym!

Sarah Arnold | Practice Manager

Sarah is our Practice Manager at Road to Recovery and keeps our team running on time and tells us where to go. She’s been part of our team for the past 4 years and she’s an absolute gem. Sarah can jump in and assist with any inquires and help connect people to the right team members.

Annie Rose Buckley | Front of House

Annie is part of our front of house team, you’ll find her at the reception area in our Springwood studio. Annie can help out with all scheduling related matters and organising services and programs!
