Road to Recovery Exercise Physiology is a home visit allied health service which provides targeted exercise therapy to you within the comfort of your home and local community. We also have a state-of-the-art allied health clinic located in Springwood which services all of the Blue Mountains region.

Road to Recovery was established to empower and educate individuals to take charge of their health, promoting independence using a home-based setting for your convenience.

Our clinicians are University educated and combine evidence based practice with professional experience to deliver safe and effective exercise programs to target your personal goals.

Our Team

Joseph Campbell | Director & Principle Exercise Physiologist

Owner and Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Joe founded Road to Recovery in 2018 when he wanted to create a bigger impact on the health of his local community and create lifestyle abundance for those he works with. Joe is passionate about exercise across the lifespan and staying healthy and active into older age. With background in multiple private practices and clinical settings including aged/disability care, corporate health and athletic development, Joe’s goal is to help people take control of their health and live a life with less limitations.

Joe has a particular interests in sport development with a background in strength and conditioning and outside of work you’ll find Joe in the gym, being walked by his dogs with a good coffee in hand!

Holly Huxley | Exercise Physiologist

Holly Goldingay graduated from Sydney University with a Masters in Exercise Physiology. As one of our senior Exercise Physiologists, Holly has a background in exercise and disability care and enjoys helping people become the best versions of themselves through exercise and physical activity. Holly is a self-described ‘foodie’ and spends her weekends adventuring to local farmers markets or relaxing with a cheese board and wine in hand. Holly’s special interests include Pilates and hydrotherapy, so keep an eye out for her at the aquatic centre.

Joel Moncrieff | Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Joel is enthusiastic about exercise prescription for everyone regardless of age, gender or experience. Joel, grew up playing rugby and basketball in his youth and is now an avid surfer and enjoys spear-fishing. Joel enjoys helping people rediscover good health and take control of their lives. He has a passion for helping those who are new to exercise as well as regular gym enthusiasts, to continue training when injured or make lifestyle changes for better health.

Kristy Mills| Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Kristy is enthusiastic about movement and exercise for everyone regardless of age, gender and experience. Kristy’s work with her clients draws on her extensive experience with the NRL designing and implementing strength and conditioning programs to reduce injuries amongst NRL referees. Outside of elite performance, Kristy also has a background in mental health having worked at St John of God North Richmond previously. Kristy is a big proponent to resistance training and enjoys spending time in the weights room herself as well as teaching other women the importance and benefits of weight training. Outside of work, Kristy’s always got a coffee in her hand and is loving and learning about life with her newborn son.

Amar Mousa | Exercise Physiologist

Amar is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Sydney University Graduate. Amar enjoys working in the disability sector and understands the benefits and importance of exercise in people with disabilities. She understands that everyone has their own heath journey and what works for one person may not for another. Amar’s particular interests include strength training for seniors as well as working in the mental health space and healthy ageing. On her weekends, Amar loves adventuring with friends and spending time with her family.

Micah Pace | Exercise Physiologist

As an Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Micah is passionate about exercise and healthy living for people of all ages. Micah aims to enable people of all abilities to participate in safe exercise and make physical activity comfortable and fun to help people work towards their health goals in life.

Micah’s particular interests include promoting active living for older adults, injury rehabilitation and chronic health management as well as strength training in adolescents.

Jack Baldwin | Exercise Physiologist

Jack Baldwin graduated from University of Sydney with a Masters in Exercise Physiology having completed Exercise Sport Science at Western Sydney University. Jack is enthusiastic about exercise prescription for everyone regardless of age, gender or experience. Jack, grew up playing elite level AFL and Basketball in his youth and still continues to play both sports as well as competing in CrossFit. Jack enjoys neurological rehabilitation, strength and conditioning programming for youths as well as helping people discover/rediscover good health and change their life for the better.

Zach Petrini | Exercise Physiologist

Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Zach loves time in the gym which was his motivation for getting into Health Sciences. That and his passion for helping people realise their potential and the benefits of exercise and physical activity adoption. Zach’s sport background includes Oz-Tag and Powerlifting and he’s learnt first hand the importance of proper rehabilitation and training having conservatively managed a recent ACL rupture.
