At Road to Recovery, our Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) have completed a minimum 4 years of university training to become qualified allied health professionals, recognised in the medical and health sectors.

Exercise Physiologists are experts in understanding how the body moves from a biomechanical point of view, which means, whatever your goals, our Exercise Physiologists can get you there.

Our Exercise Physiologists provide individualised exercise programs, ongoing support and lifestyle improvement advice to develop and advance in the most effective way possible, ultimately repairing your quality of life.

Working with an Exercise Physiologist benefits people of all ages and athletic ability. Exercise Physiologists assist individuals with foundational movement techniques that aim to reduce the potential for injury and optimise your physical development.

During your initial consultation, your Exercise Physiologist will ask about your medical and exercise history and your goals. Following this they will conduct a number of relevant tests that will establish baselines and determine how to treat you most effectively, such as:

  • Mobility Screening, for example, knee-to-wall for ankle range
  • Movement Quality, for example, squat and running technique
  • Strength, for example, right leg vs left leg strength testing
  • Endurance, for example, cardiorespiratory testing
